There’s a great article by Mark Chew on the Southern Woodenboat Sailing website, which is must a read for all club members. It really sums up what our club and the regatta are about and I think we should all take pride in an event well run. In Mark’s words “I wouldn’t be surprised if the “Royal” Yacht Clubs could learn a thing or two from their neighbours in South Gippsland about how to create a flourishing event.” Read the article HERE.
Mark also took some superb photos on the Saturday and these can be viewed HERE.
The Classic Dinghy regatta was a financial success for the club too. Funds generated by entries, lunches, the Saturday dinner and bar, and not forgetting the generous support of our sponsors, will go towards equipment, developing facilities and special projects to benefit members. The committee is discussing options and we welcome your input to this process: just contact a committee member.
