Sailing courses
You’re never to young (or old) to learn to sail! Check out some of the options below:
Whilst SGYC does not run an official training program, we endeavour to run courses in the holiday period each year aimed at beginners to intermediate using the clubs’ two RS Feva dinghies, 2 Pacers, plus a stable, confidence inspiring Corsair. Contact Terry for further information, or talk to our friendly members at the club who would love to help get you started on your sailing adventures.
Becoming a sailing member of SGYC gives you access to the clubs facilities as well as free use of our club boats. These include a Mirror and 2 Optimist dinghies, perfect for younger sailors, plus the newer RS Feva and Pacer dinghies for older crews and a Laser and a Sabre for solo sailing.
Closer to Melbourne, Australian Sailing has a number of different courses available across many sailing clubs around the Bay, from junior through to keelboat, and even racing official courses. For more information browse this page.
