On Sunday 30th, Inverloch and Anderson’s Inlet put on a beautiful summer’s day [a visitors’ paradise] with a fast outgoing tide with indifferent wind from the east and north-actually, the last day before the summer season kicks in-all 20 sailors started off with enthusiasm only to be dampened by the wind dramatically reducing resulting in sailors drifting with at least 2 yachts being towed back to the Yacht Club. Predictably the first race was postponed until after lunch. With the wind increasing and changing to the south west, the 20 sailors looked to competing with 2 races organised back to back. Both races were completed under sunny skies, variable winds and cool water. It was very pleasing to see many of our junior sailors taking to the water while other kids enjoyed swimming in the Inlet. As usual the yachts brightened up the beach for the Knights of Leongatha Toyota Series.
