A number of our intrepid sailors took part in the 2021 Ronstan Regatta held at McCrae Yacht Club between 23-26th January, where by all accounts conditions were pretty ordinary: becalmed on the weekend then a huge bay swell on the Tuesday. Nonetheless, Pete Keily and Wayne Smith took 1st and 3rd overall in Alpha Course, Div 3 category (8 Taipans and 1 Mosquito – Pete).
Impulse sailors Matt Keily, Toby Leppin and Geoff Rippingale also flew the SGYC pennant, with Matt staying the course over the long weekend to finish 4th in Bravo Course, Div 2.
